Technology Paradigms is an organization dedicated to building the capacity of nonprofit organizations to serve their communities. Our Focus: the overall health and well-being of the non-profit organization. Operating as a not-for-profit organization itself, Technology Paradigms well understands the challenges of the non-profit community we seek to serve, and so do many funders.

In a recent article in the Chronicle of Philanthropy, Bernard Marcus, the co-founder of the Home Depot Foundation, related the importance of good capacity building to the decision-making process of a potential funder. Mr. Marcus said, “[Our] foundation always examines the management team of a potential grantee and the way the group handles finances before it decides whether to make a gift. We like to support nonprofit enterprises that are focused on transferring business approaches to other segments of society. . .” The Home Depot Foundation is just one of many grant-giving organizations to whom capacity-building is important. Capacity-building is what makes Non-Profit Funding and Friending Opportunities 2004 a vital and essential event to the nonprofit community.
